Trip up the Inside Passage originally to be a photography trip thru Road Scholar on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship. Not enough signed up to warrant the professional photographer guide so Road Scholar cancelled but I went on the ship anyway.

Alaska Part 2

Continued Pictures from Alaska.

From Seward along the Seward Highway to the port city of Whittier. In order to get to Whittier, you must travel through a one-way tunnel that is three miles long. The tunnel takes traffic in each direction and also a train runs through the same tunnel. Naturally not all at the same time.

Whittier is quite the place. You will see a high-rise building. Basically, everyone in the town lives in this building, as well as schools, medical care, stores, etc. Not a great place to live.

This is where we took the Ferry to Valdez via Prince William Sound. We passed the massive Columbia Glacier and various marine life on the 5 hour cruise.

More to Follow
